Message The bottle is supposed to be used as a catch can, of sorts, where the coolant tube plugs into the top and any excess coolant spills into it... The purpose of the open/close plug is to be able to drain the fluid out of the bottle from the bottom. With this set-up, there is no recirculation

on our cars, we use a overflow recirculation reservoir...In this respect, the coolant gets hot it spills into this reservoir, then when the coolant cools down, it is drawn back into the system via vacuum pressure. Because of this, out coolant tube must be connected to the bottom otherwise the coolant would not be drawn back into the system

I put the open/close plug on the top and simply connected a drain tube from that in case the tank gets too full...You can put this plug on the bottom too, just make sure you leave it open... I do hope you placed the tube from the radiator to the bottom???? otherwise youill just be dumping fluid into this tank and never retrieving it....

BTW, thanks for the compliments.. I appreciate them
